Speaker bio:MICHAEL TESSLER
With over two decades of wealth transfer, wealth protection and managerial experience, Michael is a sought after resource by financial advisors all over the country. With experience in the home office and the field, his perspective and understanding of the life insurance business is broad. Today, Michael serves as the president at Brokerage Unlimited, Inc., a firm that assists financial service professionals with the implementation of wealth transfer and wealth protection strategies, frequently utilizing life insurance, long term care insurance and annuities.
Michael’s articles and comments have appeared in Broker World, Life Insurance Selling, The National Underwriter, the St. Louis Post Dispatch and a variety of other publications. He has spoken to thousands of insurance advisors, financial planners, stockbrokers, accountants, etc. about various life insurance topics. He regularly shares implementation strategies with the advisors who work with BUI. Michael also volunteers his time to charities, assisting them with the management of life insurance plans and procedures for accepting life insurance policies as gifts.
He served on the board of directors of LifeMark Associates, Inc., LifeMark
Partners, Inc., the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors
(NAIFA) – both the St. Louis Chapter and the State of Missouri, and the Life
& Health Foundation for Education (LIFE). Michael was awarded the NAIFA-St. Louis 2008 Silent Hero award for service to NAIFA and the community and in 2009, Michael was honored by becoming the namesake for the NAIFA St. Louis Silent Hero award, now known as the Michael Tessler Silent Hero Award. He is a past president of LIFE, Inc., the past president of NAIFA-St. Louis and a past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA).
