unique ethical rule governing lawyer conduct -- Rule 1.8(a). This
presentation will cover the many nuances of the rule that governs
lawyers "in business with their clients;" from the provision of
traditional legal services to the operation of enterprises where the
lawyer is both co-owner and counsel. Mr Winters discusses the
extraordinary history of Rule 1.8(a) and its foundations in our
literature, mythology and religion.
